A doorway

On Friday after Salsa, we were planning to see Young@Heart at the Egyptian theater but we had about an hour and a half until it started. So we headed down Broadway in Capitol Hill to find a place to have dinner. As we are walking along, Paul sees a sign and menu for Annapurna Cafe. The "restaurant" is just a sketchy looking doorway with a set of stairs that you can't see the end of. But we are up for adventure so we head on down and end up in a cute little basement restaurant that combines cuisine from Nepal, India, and Tibet. Our dinner was delicious and we were glad we took a chance on the little cafe. We'll definitely be back!

After dinner we saw Young@Heart. I have been looking forward to this movie for months! And I have to say, I was a little disappointed. The movie was only marginally interesting and very slow-moving in parts. The concept is fun and the group is a blast to watch perform but the documentary just didn't keep us entertained.

I think you need to be a little more careful with your movie selections. You are striking out as bad as the Mariners! Ha Ha! I'm a little afraid for our movie date tonight. If the movie is as boring as the last two, I won't make it through the first 10 min! :0)

As always, the biggest dives have the best food. that lesson was learned the day before Thanksgiving about 9 years ago at La Caridad. (I wish they put a plastic fork in here.)
