Centrum Silver
Paul and I went and saw the new Indiana Jones movie on Friday night. I'll say I didn't think it was very good. It has a lot of the old pieces of the formula that work - the chases, the jokes, the dramatic theme music. But it also has one of my pet peeves. Although I really love sci-fi movies, it's a pet peeve when non-alien movies integrate aliens. And thus is the crime of the new Indy movie. He's an archeologist people, give me a break. Oh, and give me about 30 less minutes too. It's not the worst $10 I've ever spent by any means, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I agree... but at least you didn't spend $12 like I did.
Although in Stephen Speilberg's defense, the thought was that as the original Raiders of the Lost Ark was an homage to the 30's-era films of the time, since the new one is set in the 50's, it shouldn't hearken back to the 30's roots but to the more common "Aliens are invading earth"-style movies of the post WWII Cold War era.
Of course, this is me talking out of my arse, as I haven't seen the movie yet. (Blame a 3-month-old baby.)
worst $10 i've spent in a long time! not a huge fan of the movie, although i did get to see chettra afterwards, so maybe it was worth my $10!
p.s. notice my june goal is accomplished! haha!
