Last weekend was great at HoopFest 2008 in Spokane. 25,000 basketball players participated in the tournament, 4 of which comprised Team Weller:
They did a great job in making the brackets as Team Weller was pretty evenly matched in their games. They played four games and went 2-2, with a big win in game 3 against a team of dirty pansy whiny boys. The whole event was just huge! There was a basketball court on every square inch of downtown Spokane as far as the eye could see:
The whole event was really well organized and we had a blast watching other teams from little girls to old men. For the full array of pictures, you can check out my brother's Flickr album of HoopFest 2008.
Admidst the brouhaha, we made a jaunt over to Coeur d'Alene, which was the first time that my brother and I both had ever set foot in Idaho. For some reason, this was shocking to the rest of the group. I was fine with it. Coeur d'Alene seems nice enough but it was kind of boring and we didn't stay that long. I think Paul was disappointed that we didn't like it more but I will probably give it another chance. :)
Happy 4th of July everyone!!
