For me, it was fruit. That's right, I said fruit. They had these stands all over where they would just cut up fresh fruit for you. It was the most delicious and refreshing snack for hot beach weather - I was hooked. It wasn't the crap fruit you get in a "fruit cup" at a deli that is basically three pieces of tough honeydew - this fruit was ripe and juicy and delicious! And it was even better because they had mangoes which are something that I associate with being on vacation. The first time I got the "mixed cup" but after that it was mostly mango (you can pick what you want). I'm not kidding, I miss my fresh fruit!!Paul's obsession was street performers. He could NOT walk by without watching. There were many times I would try to watch and then about 15 seconds in would make a plan to meet Paul somewhere in 10 minutes. Paul's favorite performer was this guy called "Mr. Animation." We saw him in both Santa Monica and Venice Beach and Paul had to watch his whole show both times while I shopped and ate my fresh fruit. :) Don't get me wrong, he's got mad poppin and lockin skills, I just wasn't that into it. You can see a video of him below. If you click away after a few seconds, you should try fresh fruit. If you watch the whole thing and like it, you should go to Venice Beach with Paul.

Are you serious! I laughed so hard when I saw your post.....how funny! I love fruit too....like I cannot get enough...I think it is something about having a girl...but that fruit looks amazing!
