We have been continuing our Christmas fun marathon with many Christmas-related activities and adventures. Thanks to my Mom's visit last week and some early Christmas shopping by Paul and I, our tree has a nice stash of presents under it. I have to say, I think it looks really good, but it is killing me to not look at any of the presents. I'm so tempted to just peel back a little corner, but I won't!
Saturday I was treated to an awesome baby shower (thank you Natalie and Nancy!!!). I got so many cute outfits and blankets and other adorable baby stuff! I know I have the best friends but that was all reconfirmed by the fact that I didn't even have to fake excitement over any of the gifts - they were all super cute - especially the handmade baby quilt by my BFF Sonya which has CUPCAKES all over it! Paul very kindly volunteered to drop us off and pick us up afterwards in order to help with all the presents and boxes. Later I found out that Natalie had told him beforehand we would be having Cinnabon cinnamon rolls (which he loves)! I still give him full credit though since he did carry every single thing out to the car (between bites).
Paul's as festive as I am when it comes to the Christmas spirit and on Sunday he made a cute little gingerbread house while I made some Christmas cookies. Nice job Paul!
So far we have seen Snowflake Lane five times - with my Mom, my brother, alone, Mike & Brooke, and Cindi & Natalie. Tonight will make #6 with our friends Mike & Suzanne and their little girl, Lucy. That's right people, we like Christmas!
Tuesday night we went with Cindi & Rob to see the Christmas Ships at Golden Gardens Beach Park. Overall I would say it was a 6. Pluses: free hot chocolate, cider, cookies, nice big bonfire, no rain, acceptable public restrooms. Minuses: the ships in this parade were marginal in terms of decoration, the choir was a Catholic choir that sang only religious songs that no one recognized (including me), and it was frickin' freezing. Since the ships and choirs are different every night, we will give the parade one more chance when it comes past our waterfront in downtown Bellevue on the 18th. If you live here, you should come!

You look adorable. I wish I could have been at the shower.
Meanwhile, I haven't done a single thing for Christmas decorating. I took a wreath centerpiece from my work holiday party and hung it on my door using dental floss. That's about it.
Good work Paul on the gingerbread house! haha
and PS I love your Mom. She is adorable.
And you look SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute...and prego. Lets get that baby out!! I want to meet her!
Those new pictures of you and Paul are sooooo Funny! Yesterday at church someone a girl said to me, "I walked by the first time and you had your hand on that pregnant woman's stomach. I walked by 5 minutes later and you still had you hand on her stomach." All I could do was laugh. I was waiting for peaches to kick. You got to be ready when something like that happens. sheesh.
Hey stranger, long time! You look great and congrats on the baby to come. I just had my first, he is now 17months old (Okay, so it seems like I "just" had him)! So much fun, but enjoy your last few days of sleep and freedom (as much as you can with a big ol' belly)! I have a blog too; www.thegielaufamily.blogspot.com, check it out. So good to see you and it looks like "Life is Good"! Are you living in Washington? What part? I love Washington and Oregon area. Take care and good luck with little one.
We loved your Christmas Card Es!
Love, Stacey
