Little Fish, Big Fish

Leah has loved water since Day 1, so Paul signed himself and Leah up for "swimming lessons" through Bellevue Parks & Rec. I use the phrase "swimming lessons" extremely loosely. The class basically consists of dads holding babies/children and singing water-related songs while walking in a circle and splashing. Sometimes there are props. Almost all the time the dads sing in an awful monotone that somehow seems to delight the children. Leah is no exception. She is happy as a clam for those thirty minutes even though she is by far the youngest and clearly has no idea what is going on.

I have also loved water since Day 1, so I signed myself up for the Adult Advanced Swimming class offered at the same time. When I say "advanced swimming" I mean it. They have us doing drills and sets up and down the lane like we're training for the Olympics. Considering how out of shape I am, I practically go into cardiac arrest during the thing. But it's a great workout and I'm hoping it will help me lose this baby weight. Maybe if I can get Paul in the lane next to me singing "row row row your boat" and pushing a plastic boat, I will enjoy my class as much as Leah enjoys hers.

Swimming is the best work out ever. I am planning on taking a water aerobics class after I have the baby. It definitely works every muscle and its zero impact. Forget running!!

Those pics with Leah are adorable!!

Seriously, best swimsuit ever. Maybe if you got a matching one it would make you swim faster and not die. Stop working and let's go swimming instead. And the movies. Popcorn is calling you.

SO cute! I'm very impressed that all of you are in the water, swimming (or singing and bobbing as the case may be) away.

I think that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard (Paul and Leah taking swimming lessons together, not you going into cardiac arrest)!!
