Last week I celebrated the 10th anniversary of my other serious, long-term relationship - Microsoft. I can't believe I have been employed there for ten years! When I started I sort of thought I might be a millionaire by my 10th anniversary. I think I got my 10 years mixed up with the previous ten. Nevertheless, it has been an AWESOME place to work - tons of smart people, good pay and benefits, lots of perks, and interesting technology. The traditional 10th anniversary gift is tin or aluminum. Instead, Microsoft got me a crystal statue and plaque and ten share of Microsoft stock. I think I like that better than tin. Best of all they gave me a job and a paycheck for ten years and in this economy, that's plenty to be happy about. Thanks Bill and Steve!!
