Only Becca Can Do That

We have a great nanny named Rebecca (Leah calls her "Becca") who takes good care of my kids while I'm at work. There are a couple things that Leah really likes to do that I just don't want to deal with so I make Rebecca do them. For example, if Leah wants to play with Play-Doh I just tell her, "Only Becca knows how to do that." What's awesome is that she totally believes me and doesn't press the issue. It's a win-win because not only do I not have to clean up play-doh, but it makes Leah excited to see Becca rather than crying because I am leaving. The other thing in this category is painting of any kind. I highly recommend this method. If you don't have a nanny, just substitute Daddy. For example, "I want to go to Chuck E. Cheese!" Response: "Only Daddy knows where that is."
