The Honeymoon's Over!
...but you still have to hear about it. Well, because we have been remiss in starting our blog right away, I am probably going to do a few posts here and there about things that already happened just to catch up a little. The first such post will be this one regarding our honeymoon. The whole trip can be summarized in the word gluttony. The food was seriously amazing and there was way too much of it everywhere you looked.
The ship was huge and our room was great - we had a private balcony so we could see and hear the water all the time. Every day when we went to breakfast they would come make up our room (unless we did room service, which was also awesome). Then at night they would come and turn down the bed and leave little chocolates on our pillows. They would always leave a little animal made out of towels on the bed along with the schedule of all the activities for the next day. On the days we were at sea we just napped by the pool and relaxed. It was a true vacation!!
We visited three ports - Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.
In Jamaica, we visited this beautiful waterfall nestled in a lush jungle that fed into the ocean. Because the waterfall is not too steep, you can walk up it and stop and enjoy the scenery and relax in the rushing water:
In Grand Cayman we did a couple things. The first thing we did was swim with stingrays! It sounded like a great idea and then as soon as I got into the water and one brushed by my leg, I started freaking out!
They say it is good luck to kiss the stingrays so Paul did it! I'm sure you can guess what happened when he tried to kiss ME afterwards!! NO DICE!
After that we went snorkeling on a local reef. We were having a great time when we realized that Paul was being stalked by a moray eel!!! I snapped a picture and got the heck out of there. That's Paul in the picture on the right and his best friend, the eel below him. No joke, the second half of that snorkeling trip I was far far away from Paul, sorry honey!
Our last stop was in Cozumel where we rented a speedboat and took it out to a deserted island, only accessible by said speedboats. Paul drove on the way there and I drove on the way back. The boats were very easy to maneuver and lots of fun.
The beach was beautiful with clear blue water as far as you could see!
After that it was back to the boat, back to Seattle, and back to reality! It was definitely not a trip we will forget anytime soon!

Kissing a stingray is brave... being photographed wearing a bathing suit is much braver! (although you look great)
What? no pictures of the buffet table? Looks like lots of fun but the only thing that would have been better than this cruise would have been a cruise with JM performing!
