On the way home from the Ridge to River race (see previous entry), we stopped in the authentic Bavarian town of Leavenworth. I didn't realize that Cold Stone Creamery and Copper Creek were German stores. I'm pretty sure you can't just put "Der" in the front of a store name and that makes it German but if it works for "Der Goldsmith" then who am I to judge? I think Paul and I are reconsidering our Fall trip to Germany now that we know of this local resource so close by.
But we did have some fun walking around the village. Most of it was people-watching. People were eating it up - they loved that stuff. The storefronts were pretty cute and the weather couldn't have been more perfect - sunny and mid-70's! Munich, eat your heart out!

The fact that you are in front of a German car makes it even better.
Perfect, you can go there, then go to Paulsbo for a Scandinavian experience and you've been to Europe without ever leaving the state!
