Ballers

Last weekend we went to Spokane for our 2nd annual Weller family Hoop Fest Extravaganza. For those of you who don't know, Hoopfest is a 3-on-3 tournament in Spokane. The largest 3-on-3 tournament in the world, in fact. That means over 6,400 teams, 200,000 players and fans, and 400 courts spanning 40 downtown city blocks. Team Weller was in full effect on the court and walked a way with a respectable (and consistent) 2-2 record. The team consisted of Paul and his two brothers Sam and Danny. Sam also brought a friend from school (Blake) to fill out the team. Blake and Sam are both really tall so the guys got put into a bracket of teams with pretty big guys. You can see in the picture a perfect example of the type of guy Paul had to guard all weekend. Luckily Eric was there to document all the shenanigans. Leah and I were on hand for eye candy and cheerleading which I think worked pretty well. This year we stayed at a hotel right downtown so we could walk to events easily or go back there between games. That was the right decision. Leah cheers better after a good nap. The whole event was a blast and we can't wait for next year.
