We have been very busy lately so we are way behind on our blog! This will be my attempt to catch up on all our Turkey Month activities.
Our good friends, Cindi & Rob, got married! It was a great day and everything turned out beautifully, especially my violin playing at their reception.
Things have been bonkers for me at work. My manager and one other person on my team moved to different jobs at Microsoft so I have been filling in for both of them. Thank goodness Microsoft has cold Diet Coke available on demand.
I have also been doing a bit of volunteering at the Bellevue Arts Museum. I am a docent there and had several shifts of gallery duty at the museum lately. There are some really great exhibits there right now so if you live in the area, you should check it out!
An entire holiday dedicated to food is right up my alley so of course we celebrated Thanksgiving properly. Paul's brother had most of his family over to their house for a huge, traditional spread of food. We had all the classics including turkey, potatoes, gravy, yams, green beans, rolls, and much more. Leah's favorite were the yams that her Dad made. They were my favorite too.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving Paul and I were in our room getting ready for church when Leah just stood up and walked across our bedroom with no prompting! We totally freaked out clapping and hugging her. I'm pretty sure she had no idea what the big deal was. She still crawls a lot because it's easier and much faster but she wobbles around quite a bit and I'm sure it's only a matter of time!
Because Thanksgiving was later this year we got our Christmas tree up the week before and it looks great! Per my tradition I made us watch "Elf" while we were decorating. That movie bugs Paul more and more every year which drives me to all sorts of extreme comments about him trying to strangle the Christmas Spirit. Leah loves the tree with all the lights and ornaments. She would really love to get her hands on some of those ornaments. More importantly she would really like to get her tongue on them since everything has to go in her mouth first thing.
A couple blocks from our condo in downtown Bellevue there's a little Christmas show every night at 7 pm called Snowflake Lane. We like to invite our friends to come see the show with us and we've already been to see it about six times. Leah still looks at all the characters like they are nuts but she loves the drummers.
November was a great month to get us geared up for the holidays which we are currently enjoying regardless of which of Santa's lists we are on this year.

Thanks for the update! Leah is so cute I can't stand it!! Walking already? Daaaang she is awesome! I'm trying to get Brinley to roll over but she just lays there like a slug. Tummy time isn't her favorite!
Your violin playing was amazing. :)
Sounds like your circumstances and scheduling are keeping you busy!
