A few weeks ago, my BFF Sonya came to visit us from NYC. Sonya is a big fan of John Mayer and I am a big fan of Sonya, ergo I have seen John Mayer in concert eight times. Once she came out and we saw him three nights in a row (Vancouver, Seattle, Portland). Her last visit was the eighth time for me and we all saw him at the Key Arena. It was Paul's second John Mayer concert and Sonya's 30th John Mayer concert!! Obviously John Mayer is a big weirdo when it comes to some of his press but his concerts are soooooo good!! His music is easy to listen to whether you know all the words like us or if you just know a few songs from the radio. He's an extremely talented musician so he sounds really great and he mixes things up for all his shows so they aren't all the same. He played a lot of great stuff including my favorite, "Why Georgia" which had Sonya and I singing at the top of our lungs. He's coming again this summer to the Gorge. I would love to see him but "Mister No-Name" (as my Mom calls him because we can't decide on a name) will be a little young for a concert so we might have to wait until the next tour.

Battle Studies

A great show! So happy we all went. I have a feeling that we are going to get Paul to go to a lot more shows with us. Not this summer, but maybe next summer. (thanks a lot Mr. No Name!)
I does my heart good that Sonya has a good friend like you. How busy you must be. So glad your mom can be with you.
