PE Exam

Last month Paul took a really important professional test called the PE Exam. You have to qualify just to take the test with education and professional experience (four years). Despite test takers having these credentials and experience, only 60% of them even pass the test. The test is EIGHT HOURS long and completely open book. Basically the worst test ever. Since it's open book people get crazy with the materials they bring. The night before the test Paul got out our huge rolling suitcase and filled it with books. I thought he was being excessive but apparently over half the test takers that day had suitcases with some people even renting dollies to haul their reference materials in!! Despite the fact that the test is multiple choice, he doesn't get to find out if he passed until July. If he does then he becomes a licensed Professional Engineer. Either way I am proud of him for just surviving that process - all the months of studying and that ridiculously long and intense test. We've got our fingers crossed!
