Mailbox Peak
As part of his training for STP, Paul decided to take Leah on a hike and picked Mailbox Peak. It is a 2.5 mile hike with 4040 feet of elevation gain. So basically the worst hike you can possibly imagine. As Paul was loading Leah up into the backpack in the parking lot, several people approached him to ask if he had ever done the hike before looking skeptically at the huge backpack with a toddler. Then, on the way up, people kept freaking out over him carrying Leah all the way up. When he got to the top, a guy offered to take his picture and email it to Paul so he would have proof he did the hike with Leah on his back! Of course, Paul was loving all this and it probably fueled him most of the way! Leah enjoyed herself too, talking or snoozing most of the way. Nice job, Paul!
